Here’s my March Art Journal page. I was feeling inspired by a lot of the decorating blogs I read that are showing so many spring colors. I’m really pleased with the colors!
I don’t know that I’m thrilled with the execution of the idea I had but I’m overall happy with the results. I especially love the cute birds! I used book pages and stamped on them and cut them out. I used Papertrey stamps for the doilies along the edges and for the text background on the flowers. I love, love, love their stamps!
For those of you who aren’t familiar with the Art Journal project, you make an art journal page for each month of the year and then link it to the Kathryn Wheel blog at http://thekathrynwheel.blogspot.com. It’s a lot of fun and a good way to be able to look back and see what you did through out the year. My style is a lot more scrapbook/stamper type than many. Most are more art/mixed media. They’re all fun to look at and I get ideas from them.
As I’m sure all of you are doing, please keep our dear ones in Japan in our prayers. It seems that things are just getting worse for them. It’s truly saddening. Even though I know that it’s a fullfillment of Jesus’s sign of the last days at Matthew 24:7, it’s still very hard to see so much suffering. We can look forward to the time when Rev 21:4 is fullfilled, “And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.”
Thank you for stopping by.
